Cyanotype

Perfecting the relatively simple process of cyanotype, was the most consuming aspect of my project. To develop consistently beautiful images that I could use as the basis for a continuous print design on a garment, became a labour of love.

The cause of much frustration, mistakes, failures and obstacles that had to be continuously overcome, Cyanotype had the potential to produce the most beautiful ethereal, yet bold images that evoked the themes at the heart of my project.

Despite these issues, I found Cyanotype to be a fascinating process, constantly surprising, engaging, consuming, inspiring and the most perfect medium to visualise my ideas and develop creatively.
