Sindy Frocks

18 tiny dresses were created for my 18 Sindy’s.  15 from my childhood and 3 acquired through the duration of my project. Individually the dresses chart my design progression, developing textile print to inspire fashion silhouette to achieve the aims originally set out in my project proposal.

Collectively they tell the story of my creative journey over the last two years, and represent the evolution of my project and design practice. It has been one of challenge, curiosity, experimentation, reflection, questioning, learning, stepping outside of my comfort zone, embracing the new and above all else approaching my work with a renewed sense of joy and appreciation for the act of creating.
