Sindy Catwalk Show

In the midst of covid restrictions, new ways of visualising work to communicate design outcomes presented an opportunity to have fun and experiment. My childhood Sindy Dolls quickly became an integral part of my design and visualisation process.

From my first rudimentary attempts to bring Sindy to life using giffs, the idea of creating a stop motion catwalk expanded my skillset to create my own show in the absence of a physical showcase. Something that was very important to me as a designer/maker and an avenue of creativity that generated untold enjoyment.

Filmed over 3 days my final animation is a homage to my love of fashion shows and documents the development of my print and garment design from initial cyanotype on fabric samples to a 1/6 scale digitally printed version of my final full size Party Frock.
